The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.

Dragon Splashes

 

The dragon of the sea rises up with playful splashes in the waves.

She yips with gleeful cheeriness and laughs in the rays of sun.

Sprays of water sprinkle joy from her radiant mane,

And this corner of the world brightens just that much more.

John 1:6-8

There was a man sent from God whose name was John. He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.

John 1:4-5

In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.  The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not understood it.

 Christ has life for all of us.  That life shines out, so that all that seek him can find him.  He loves you.

John 1:1-3

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was with God in the beginning.  Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

We see Christ with God and is God shining in the void as creation began.  From him, all through the process of creation and through the time that followed he left a trail for each of us, so that we can know him and learn to be a reflection of him.

Anxious Feelings

I'm feeling anxious, wondering if my time is meaningless.  Like most people, I want my life to have meaning, but what is it that gives life meaning?  How do I find purpose as I live?  What plans has God designed for me?  How do I live up to his standards?  Is that even possible?

Lord, Father, have mercy on me.  There is no way I can be worthy of your love, but I know that you love me anyway.  Thank you for your love.  Please help me to show your love to the rest of the world even when I'm not feeling it.  Help me to be a reflection of you and to live with your purpose for my life even when I don't know what that purpose it.  Thank you for your guidance.  I love you.  In all things may your will be done.  Amen.
